Product Overview
Coconut Coir Fibre is extracted from the fibrous outer cover of the coconut fruit. White or light brown in colour, our Natural Coir Fibre is spun to make yarn for mats and rope. The coir fibre we produce is waterproof and resistant to salt water.
Selected, matured coconut husks are used for fibre extraction using modern machinery — ensuring consistent fibre length, cleanliness, and quality. The fibre is free from moisture and impurities.
Coir fibre is also the primary raw material used in manufacturing geotextiles — biodegradable erosion control products used worldwide in civil engineering, road works, dam construction, and slope stabilisation.
Fibre Grades
All grades available in custom fibre lengths. Geotextile-grade fibre also available for industrial manufacturing applications.
Bristle Fibre
Long, coarse-grade coir fibre — the stiffest and most durable grade. Used in the manufacture of brushes, brooms, floor mats, and as a reinforcement material in composite applications.
Mattress Fibre
Medium-grade coir fibre with a softer texture — specifically prepared for the mattress, upholstery, and padding industries. Provides resilience, breathability, and durability in comfort applications.
Brown Fibre
Standard brown-grade coir fibre for rope, net, and general industrial manufacturing. Strong, flexible, and waterproof — the most widely used grade in coir rope and coir net production.
Custom Lengths
All GK Coco coir fibre grades are available in custom fibre lengths to specification — extracted using modern machinery that ensures precise and consistent fibre length for industrial manufacturing requirements.
Applications & Uses
From domestic products like mats and brushes to large-scale civil engineering applications — GK Coco coir fibre serves a wide spectrum of industrial and consumer manufacturing needs.
Key Industrial Application
Coir fibre is the primary raw material used in manufacturing geotextiles — natural, biodegradable erosion-control fabrics with a wide range of civil engineering and environmental applications.
Soil erosion has become one of the most prevalent environmental challenges globally. Coir geotextiles offer an effective, sustainable solution — biodegrading naturally as vegetation establishes.
